Atlanta-based rent-to-own company Aaron's has added its first female director.

The new director, Cynthia N. Day, is the senior executive vice president and chief operating officer of Atlanta-based Citizens Trust Bank.

In a statement, Aaron's president and CEO Robin Loudermilk said her business sense will be a "tremendous asset" to the board.

Day jointed Citizens Trust Bank in 2003. A Smyrna resident, she was recognized as one of Atlanta’s top 100 black women of influence by the Atlanta Business League.
