A contractor at Robins Air Force Base is closing shop and putting nearly 300 workers out of a job after the military decided not to renew the company’s contract.

DynCorp International Inc., based in Falls Church, Va., provides maintenance support to the C-130, C-117, C-5 and F-15 at the base in Warner Robins, a spokeswoman told The Macon Telegraph.

Spokeswoman Ashley Burke said the Air Force decided not to renew the contract, which was awarded last May, but she did not provide a reason. The company’s work will end May 31.
