Most everyone is mad right now, and that means all sides are actively blaming the media for either being for or against President Obama.

Over on the Left, there is extreme aggravation with the "Main Stream Media" right now, as more liberal blogs are expressing anger over the focus on certain stories, like the AIG bonus mess.

"It really is selective outrage pushed by the MSM and sadly blogs that are supposed to know better," said one poster at The Plum Line blog, who ripped the media for not doing enough on the recent Red Cross report on torture at Guantanamo Bay.

"Pushing the torture story might lead to calls for real investigations into the Bush Administration after all and the powers that be don't want that," he added.

I know many people reading my blog are going to have a hard time believing this, but many Democrats are pounding on the theme of late that the Washington, D.C. media is biased in favor of the GOP, and not liberals.

"The journalistic establishment in Washington, whether it's the Post or the Politico or much of the rest of the journalistic apparatus in the city, is essentially Republican in character," recently wrote Josh Marshall on talkingpointsmemo.com under the headline, "D.C. Still a Republican Town."

Don't believe me? Just look at Sunday's New York Times, where the Opinion page wasn't exactly laudatory reading for the White House, as columnists Frank Rich, Thomas Friedman and Maureen Dowd zapped the White House on a series of issues.

On the flip side, you have lots of people who swear that the media is doing nothing but carrying the water for the Obama Administration, and cutting him a break at every chance.

"Your bias is showing," wrote listener Terry Parsons, who accused me of going easy on the President over his Special Olympics-bowling quip on Jay Leno.

"My question is this: Will your buddies who love Obama call for him to publicly Apologize."

I guess the only thing I would observe is the media was all over the Special Olympics line, and certainly not in a positive way if you look at the headlines.

It again demonstrates that people look at the same facts and see wildly different things.

In one corner, the press is being too tough on Obama. Those were the same people who thought we were too cozy with Bush.

In the other corner, the press is going easy on Obama, just confirming their suspicions about us being a bunch of closet liberals, who hated Bush and everything he stood for.

I guess if both sides are complaining, then we must be doing our job, because we are aggravating most everyone along the way.
