How the game was won: Woodward Academy used a balanced offensive attack to score the game's first 21 points and coast to a road win over Whitewater. The War Eagles, who finished with 323 yards of total offense (167 through the air and 156 on the ground), led 14-0 after the first quarter and 21-0 midway through the third before Whitewater finally got on the scoreboard.

Top performers: Elijah Holyfield led Woodward by rushing 22 times for 132 yards and two touchdowns. He also returned the game's opening kickoff 80 yards for a touchdown. … Ryan Glover added a 15-yard scoring run for the War Eagles. … Joshua Johnson led the winning team in receiving with five catches for 84 yards. … Whitewater's lone touchdown came on a 15-yard run by Xavier Rhodes.
