How the game was won: Wesleyan stormed to a 14-0 lead by the end of the first quarter and a 42-0 cushion at halftime on the way to a convincing shutout of visiting Walker. Quarterback Cedric Lynch set the tone early with a rushing score in the first quarter and he accounted for five touchdowns in the opening half.
