As a result, East Coweta dropped to No. 6. Pebblebrook fell from No. 6 to No. 7 after a 1-3 start. The Falcons’ three losses came to Greenforest Christian (49-40), South Cobb (65-62) and No. 1 McEachern 56-46 and its victory was a 62-58 triumph over a talented Southwest DeKalb team. Shiloh is new to the poll and debuts at No. 8. No. 9 Newton is 2-1 and will face off with No. 5 Wheeler on Friday in the Give Back Classic at Westlake.

In Class AAAAAA, the top five did not see a shift, but former No. 6 Douglas County dropped to out after a 1-2 start that includes losses to Hiram (80-69) and Eagle’s Landing (63-54) and a win over Lithia Springs (96-88). Allatoona took over the vacancy at No. 6 after its 3-0 start. Also, New Manchester debuts at No. 8.

Woodward Academy leads the Class AAAA poll at No. 1 and is currently off to a 4-0 start and holding the No. 18 spot in the MaxPreps National Rankings. The rest of the top 10 looks wide open and experienced massive shifts. Among the changes was undefeated Marist replacing 0-3 Dougherty in the poll and making its debut at No. 8.

Murray County’s 4-0 start and Central Macon’s 70-37 loss to Warner Robins resulted in the Chargers’ exiting the poll and Murray County making its debut at No. 10. Butler defeated Laney 71-47 and replaced the Wildcats in the Class AA poll.

In Class A-Private, Holy Innocents’ dropped out of the top 10 and Mt. Paran replaced the Golden Bears at No. 9 after scoring a 39-37 win over No. 10 ranked Galloway.
