In Class AAAAAAA, No. 1 McEachern, No. 2 Norcross and No. 3 Grayson are each off to perfect 4-0 starts and retained their spots in the poll. Grayson’s 4-0 start includes an 81-80 win over No. 4 ranked Milton on Monday and a 62-55 win over Class AAAA’s Sandy Creek on Tuesday—both in the Jared Cook Classic. Wheeler improved to No. 5 from its previous position at No. 7. The Wildcats’ made this leap following their 62-57 win over Lanier, which defeated East Coweta 56-53 on Nov. 16. As a result, East Coweta dropped to No. 6. Pebblebrook fell from No. 6 to No. 7 after a 1-3 start. The Falcons’ three losses came to Greenforest Christian (49-40), South Cobb (65-62) and No. 1 McEachern 56-46 and its victory was a 62-58 triumph over a talented Southwest DeKalb team. Shiloh is new to the poll and debuts at No. 8. The Generals were given the nod after its 99-93 win over Chattahoochhee, which handed Berkmar a loss and therefore they are ahead of the Patriots, which dropped to No. 10. No. 9 Newton is 2-1 and will face off with No. 5 Wheeler on Friday in the Give Back Classic at Westlake.

In Class AAAAAA, the top five did not see a shift, but former No. 6 Douglas County dropped to out after a 1-2 start that includes losses to Hiram (80-69) and Eagle’s Landing (63-54) and a win over Lithia Springs (96-88). Allatoona took over the vacancy at No. 6 after its 3-0 start. Also, New Manchester debuts at No. 8.

In Class AAAAA, Carrollton dropped out of the top 10 after a 79-56 loss to New Manchester and Fayette County exited the poll after losses to Newton (88-78), East Coweta (79-70), Jonesboro (48-39) and Tucker (66-39).

Woodward Academy leads the Class AAAA poll at No. 1 and is currently off to a 4-0 start and holding the No. 18 spot in the MaxPreps National Rankings. The rest of the top 10 looks wide open and experienced massive shifts. Among the changes was undefeated Marist replacing 0-3 Dougherty in the poll and making its debut at No. 8.

Murray County’s 4-0 start and Central Macon’s 70-37 loss to Warner Robins resulted in the Chargers’ exiting the poll and Murray County making its debut at No. 10. Butler defeated Laney 71-47 and replaced the Wildcats in the Class AA poll.

In Class A-Private, Holy Innocents’ dropped out of the top 10 and Mt. Paran replaced the Golden Bears at No. 9 after scoring a 39-37 win over No. 10 ranked Galloway. Hancock Central jumped to No. 3 in Class A-Public and will face former No. 3 and current No. 5 Wilkinson County on the road this Saturday.

The Westlake girls lead Class AAAAAAA entering the Thanksgiving break with a 3-0 record and momentum from an 81-25 victory over Parkview on Tuesday. Cherokee, Collins Hill, Pebblebrook and Roswell round out the top-5.

In Class AAAAAA, Lovejoy is the team to beat and is 5-0 after its 76-16 victory over Morrow. Valdosta, Forest Park, Dacula and Glynn Academy are at the top of the class.

Buford leads Class AAAAA after weathering a late-game scare against Class A-Private No. 1 Wesleyan on Tuesday before taking the 50-49 victory. Carrollton is No. 2 with Wayne County, Statesboro and Veterans rounding out the top-5.

Carver-Columbus leads Class AAAA again ahead of Luella, Spalding, Woodward and Druid Hills in the top 5. In Class AAA, Savannah programs Johnson and Beach take the 1-2 spots, respectively, ahead of Jefferson, Dawson County and Lumpkin County to round out the top 5.

Early County is at the top of Class AA this week ahead of Laney, Douglass, Washington County and Putnam County. In Class A-Public, Wheeler County is the team to beat. Greenville is No. 2 ahead of Clinch County, Central-Talbotton and Bowdon. Wesleyan takes the top spot in Class A-Private after taking Class AAAAA No. 1 Buford to the final seconds before a 50-49 loss on Tuesday. St. Francis, Holy Innocents’, Hebron Christian and Lakeview Academy round out the top of the class.
