In Class AAAAAAA, the top 4 remains intact, but Mountain View has replaced Etowah at No. 5. Milton debuts at No. 6 and South Forsyth dropped out after falling to 7-7. Class AAAAAA No. 1 Winder-Barrow defeated Dacula 16-0 to improve to 10-3. Also, Greenbrier improved to No. 5 from No. 7 and Houston County leapt to No. 8 from No. 10.

A 3-2 victory over second-ranked Loganville keeps the Buford Wolves at the top of class AAAAA. The Carrollton Trojans dropped two spots following their pair of losses to fifth-ranked Kell. They now have three games before their next matchup against a ranked team in East Paulding. The McIntosh Chiefs defeated fourth-ranked Starr’s Mill 7-0, an impressive win that moves them up to the nine-spot. McIntosh’s next five games will be against Starr’s Mill and Whitewater, giving the Chiefs more opportunity to prove their place in the class.

Jefferson holds the No. 1 ranking again this week and is coming off a 14-4 victory over Jackson County on Tuesday. The Dragons are 11-0 on the year and 4-0 in Region 8. Westminster is second again this week despit a 12-7 loss to Gilman, MD on Tuesday. Redan holds the No. 3 spot after Lovett fell to fourth this week. Morgan County is fifth this week and, since losing to Madison County on March 13, the Bulldogs have won three straight.

Bremen was served a close 3-2 loss by Callaway, but bounced back with a pair of wins against the Cavaliers to remain at the top of class AA. Callaway drops one spot following their trio of losses, two to Bremen and one to Port St. Joe, FL. Westside-Augusta has shutout their last three opponents, proving to be enough to send the Patriots into the top-ten of the class. They’ll be tested by fifth-ranked Harlem following this week’s games against Laney, Butler and Josey.

All top-five teams in class A-Private retain their week 1 rankings. At the six-spot, George Walton moves in from the seven-spot while St. Francis makes its top-ten appearance at the seven-spot. Eighth-ranked Mt. Paran Christian shot into the top ten following the Eagles’ 7-5 win over class A-Public top-dog Gordon Lee. A pair of losses from Gordon Lee and North Cobb Christian keep the team from placing any higher, but a looming rematch against North Cobb Christian and a double header against Trion give the Eagles more opportunity to make their case in the class.

Gordon Lee and Schley County swap spots at the top following the Wildcats 10-3 loss to Johns Creek. Baconton and Johnson County remain at their week 1 spots, while Clinch County and Telfair County swapped at the fifth and sixth spot. The Panthers now sit one spot ahead, with a 2-1 victory over the Trojans along with three more wins including a 6-2 outing against seventh-ranked Charlton. Two back-to-back losses for Irwin County, served by Fitzgerald and Baconton, is enough to set the Indians one spot back from their previous rank, making room for ECI who are coming off a commanding 19-5 win over Wheeler County.
