The Dunwoody boys tennis team needed only 39 minutes to win its first round match in the Class AAAAA tournament, beating East Paulding 4-0 to improve to 18-0.

The Wildcats got wins from Andrea Ubezio and Brandon Gita in singles. Also victorious were the doubles teams of Matthew Moussouri and Will Munger and Daniel Bynum and J.T. Melton.
Walton boys roll in opening round
The Walton boys remained undefeated with a 3-1 win over Lambert in the first round of the Class AAAAAA tournament.
The Raiders were dominant in doubles with wins from the team of Trevor Croyder and Crews Enochs, as well as Jonathan He and Raymond Zhang. The winning point came from Francis Young at No. 3 singles.
Class AAAAAA: Henry Squire and Daiki Shinoda won the first two singles matches to spark Hillgrove to a 5-0 win over Campbell. … Max Volino and Ryan Lokhorst won in singles to help Norcross beat Shiloh 3-0. … Kennesaw Mountain, led by Joe Klokow at No. 1, whipped Douglas County 5-0. … The Kennesaw Mountain girls lost only three games en route to a 5-0 win over Douglas County.

Class AAA: Malley Clemones won the deciding match in Pepperell's 3-1 win over Murray County. … The Towers boys upset Region 3 champion Westside-Augusta 3-0. The Titans swept the singles matches, with Zachary Smith, Garrett Anderson and Tyrone Laury getting wins.
Class AA: Ryan Dimond, Sipho Khoza and Armen Akoyhan won their singles matches to help Riverside Military beat Coosa 5-0. … Model got a win from Carolina Fincher and swept past Washington-Wilkes 5-0. … Wesleyan stopped Temple 5-0 behind singles wins from Savannah Strickland and Lauren Alexander.
Class A: Katie Busch and Sarah Condon won at singles to spark Walker to a 3-0 win over Mount Pisgah in the Area 4 championship match.
Golf
Harrison boys, girls makes it 18 straight
Led by medalist Luke Schniederjans, the Harrison boys won the Region 4-AAAAAA golf tournament at Brookstone Golf and Country Club. Schniederjans shot a 76 and beat Tyler Cunningham of Hillgrove on the first playoff hole.
Harrison shot 311 and beat Kennesaw Mountain by two shots. It was the 18th straight year the Hoyas have won the region championship. Kennesaw Mountain's Jonathan Keppler, who had won the three previous region championships, tied for third with a 77.
The Harrison girls also won region for the 18th straight year, taking the title by 73 shots at the Governor's Town Club. Hailey Willman shot 76 and Ana Garcia had a 78 for the Hoyas, who had a 236 team score.
Budd paces Etowah to region title
Etowah won its first region title since 2005 when it claimed the Region 5-AAAAAA title at Cobblestone Golf Course. Etowah shot a 310 team total, one better than Roswell and Walton.
Nick Budd led Etowah with an 71 and Jacob Rafferty shot a 74. Walton was led by Kelvin Lee with a 75 and got 76s from Andrew Yowell and Nick Orrell-Jones.
Peachtree Ridge boys, Mill Creek girls prevail
The Peachtree Ridge boys and Mill Creek girls won Region 7-AAAAAA championships at the Reunion Golf Club.
Peachtree Ridge, the defending state champion, beat Mill Creek by three shots. Charles Huntzinger led the Lions with a 69, beating teammate Austin Mancilla by one shot to claim medalist honors. Peter Chung and Nick Scott led Mill Creek with 71s.
Mill Creek’s girls were led by Grace Choi with a 79 and defeated Peachtree Ridge by five. The medalist was Duluth’s Jordyn Sims, who shot a 70.
Grayson wins sixth straight region
The Grayson boys and Brookwood girls won the Region 8-AAAAAA championships at Summit Chase Country Club.
Grayson was led by Alex Quinn, who shot 75, and posted a 316, nine shots better than Brookwood. It was the sixth consecutive region title for the Rams.
The Brookwood girls were led by Harmanprit Kaur, who shot an 80. South Gwinnett freshman Alexis Taylor was medalist with a 79.
Dawson County sweeps 7-AAA titles
Dawson County swept the Region 7-AAA boys and girls golf tournaments at Crystal Falls.
Triston Cooper of East Hall won the boys title on the first playoff hole with Franklin County’s Mason Scott. The two had tied with 75s.
Dawson County’s Madison Caldwell shot 77 and won her third straight medalist honors.
Allatoona claims Region 5-AAAAA
Brock Nixon shot a 73 to help Allatoona win the Region 5-AAAAA championship at Cobblestone Golf Course, the school’s first region golf title. Austin Rains shot 77 to help the Bucs, who finished with a 326 as a team.
Chapel Hill won the girls title with a 306, 36 shots better than South Paulding.

Darlington's Andrea Riano and Moana Kubo shot 85 and 86 to finish one-two. …The Brookwood boys won their own tournament, shooting a 292 to claim the Brookwood Invitational title at Summit Chase in Snellville. Dominic Jachetta shot 3-under 69 to lead the Broncos and earn medalist honors. Shawn Chong and Jack Bleckley each shot 74s and Phillip Westberry shot 75. Dacula, led by Hunter Fry with a 72, finished second with a 322. ... S.M. Lee of Buford won the Wells Fargo Junior Classic at the Country Club of the South. Lee shot a 6-under 66 to win by three shots over four others, including Jake Milanowski of Peachtree City. In the girls division, Rinko Mitsunaga of Roswell was one of four that shot 1-under 71 and were declared co-champions.
