Clark again off to impressive start again
One of the country’s most heralded high school sprinters is once again off to a tremendous start, this time to his senior season. Ryan Clark of Banneker leads the nation in the 100 meters and the 200 meters, with times of 10.38 seconds and 20.92, respectively, both run at the Atlanta Games Invitational, hosted by Grady High School on March 7.
Additionally, Clark was dominant in the brief high school indoor track and field season, capping it off with a huge performance at the New Balance Indoor Track and Field Nationals, held last weekend in New York. Clark won the 60 meters with a time of 6.65 and placed second in the 200 meters in 20.85, the third fastest time ever run by a high school athlete. Clark has committed to Florida.
