The tennis state playoffs have advanced to the semifinal round, with the exception of three to-be-determined slots that will be filled by Friday evening. The semifinal action will start this weekend as well and the play-by date is April 30.
Among the storylines that the first three rounds of action have produced, are another dominant playoff push by Region 7 in Class AAAAAA. Eight of the seven semifinalists in AAAAAA are representatives of Region 7-AAAAAA, with exception of Coffee, which defeated the fourth-seeded Centennial boys 3-2 in order to advance.
Lambert and Milton have made it to the girls Class AAAAAAA semis without dropping a single match so far, while defending state champion Walton scored a 3-1 win over South Forsyth to advance.
