The second round of the GHSA Lacrosse playoffs began on Monday with a handful of matches across the state before the bulk of the teams take to the field on Tuesday.

Starr’s Mill’s girls team moved past Holy Innocents’ 19-7 to advance to the Elite Eight where it will face the winner of the Grady/Wesleyan match on Tuesday. The Panthers were led by senior Ansley Wallace who scored seven goals with six draw controls in the victory. Junior Ryanne King added five goals with 11 draw controls. Freshman midfielder Emma Grace Hepler scored three goals with three assists and sophomore Lexi Santiago have three ground ball controls to help the Panthers.
