Here’s a look at the best games on the board in Week 4:

No. 3 (Private) Wesleyan (3-0) vs. AA No. 2 Hapeville Charter (2-1)

This should be one of the best games of the weekend, regardless of classification. Both are coming off of easy wins last week – Wesleyan led Frederica Academy, a GISA school in St. Simons, 38-0 after the third quarter en route to a 38-14 win, while Hapeville drilled previously-ranked AAA Pace Academy 37-3.

Wesleyan is led by QB Banks Ramsey, a candidate for the Class A Offensive Player of the Year. The senior is completing 70 percent of his passes, has thrown for more than 500 yards in just three games with nine touchdowns and just one interception. He also leads the team in rushing with 245 yards on 30 carries. Ramsey’s favorite target is senior WR/DM Zach Peterson, who has 20 receptions for 195 yards and three touchdowns. On defense, senior LB George Bielan leads the team with 29 tackles, followed by fellow senior LB Garrett Hangartner, who has 20.

Hapeville is led by a senior QB as well, Hajj-Malik Williams, who has thrown for more than 700 yards. He spreads the ball around primarily to three seniors – Tyleek Collins, Andunte Devereux and Kivante Johnson. The Hornet defense is led by DB Christopher Smith and DE Richard Hayes Jr. The teams have met each year since 2012, with the Wolves winning four of the five contests. Last year, Wesleyan won 31-17.

No. 6 (Public) Macon County (1-1) at Class AA No. 4 Fitzgerald (1-2)

Defending public school state champion Macon County is trying to rebound from its first loss to a Class A school (36-28 to Irwin County) since 2012. Jadamius Hicks takes over at quarterback for record-setting QB K’hari Lane, now at Arizona. Hicks has completed 60 percent of his passes for 360 yards and seven touchdowns to just three interceptions. Fitzgerald is coming off of a loss as well, 24-21 to Class AAAAAAA Camden County. The Purple Hurricanes are 5-0 against Macon County, including last year’s 70-42 win.
