A New Jersey high school football player has died after suffering an injury on the field Friday night.

According to the Associated Press, Warren Hills Regional High School quarterback Evan Murray was injured during a Friday game. Murray, a three-year starter, was able to leave the field under his power, but collapsed shortly after, according to people in attendance.

Interim superintendent Gary Bowen told reporters that a cause of death had not been determined.
