Here are some of the top games involving Class AAAAA basketball teams this weekend:

- Miller Grove at Druid Hills, Friday (boys): Second-ranked Miller Grove (13-2, 5-0) is once again the heavy favorite in Region 6-AAAAA, and the Wolverines have a chance to create a little breathing room at the top of subregion A when they meet third-place Druid Hills (7-7, 4-1). Southwest DeKalb, which lost to Miller Grove 76-69 on Dec. 15, is in second place.

- LaGrange at Carver-Columbus, Saturday (boys): No. 9 Shaw is the only ranked boys team from Region 1-AAAAA, but LaGrange and Carver are also unbeaten in region play, and the winner of this game is likely to emerge as the top challenger to the Raiders for the regular-season region title. Both teams play at Shaw next week – Carver on Tuesday and LaGrange on Friday.

- Gainesville at Flowery Branch, Friday (girls): Top-ranked Flowery Branch will put its unbeaten record (16-0, 6-0) on the line when it meets rival Gainesville in a battle for first place in Region 8-AAAAA. Gainesville (9-3, 6-0) also is unbeaten in region play and is 8-1 since starting 1-2. Flowery Branch's Taniyah Worth scored 18 points Tuesday in a 65-22 victory over Apalachee.

- McIntosh at Woodland-Stockbridge, Friday (girls): The top teams from each subregion of 4-AAAAA will meet for the only time in the regular season in Stockbridge. McIntosh (9-3, 6-1) has won nine of 10 games since starting the season 0-2. Woodland was the top team in subregion B last year and was a No. 2 seed in the state tournament, losing to eventual runner-up Mays in the second round.
