How the game was won: Lowndes used 21 points in the second quarter to build a 28-0 lead, only to pour on 28 more points in the second half for a 56-7 win over visiting Newton. Lowndes quarterback Austin Dixon accounted for six of the Vikings eight touchdowns. Newton finally got on the board with 11:42 left in the fourth quarter when Kurt Taylor housed a 15-yards run.
Top Performers: Lowndes quarterback Austin Dixon had a career night as he completed 15 of his 17 pass attempts for 215 passing yard and three touchdowns and added 103 rushing yards and three more touchdowns on the ground. … On the receiving end of Dixon, Dylan Presley pulled in the biggest stat line of the night with 95 yards receiving and a 75 yard score.
