Calhoun's state-record streak of 18 region titles ended when North Murray clinched Region 6-AAA last week. Eagle's Landing Christian had won nine straight region titles until interrupted by Holy Innocents' in 5-A this season. Cartersville (seven), Rabun County (six), Greater Atlanta Christian (six) and Buford (six) now have the longest current streaks. Among those, Buford still needs another victory this week to maintain the streak. The Wolves play Clarke Central for the 8-AAAAA crown.
