Blessed Trinity, Eagle's Landing Christian and their coaches have opportunities to move up in the GHSA record books this week. Blessed Trinity can become the ninth school to win three straight state titles. (Three schools have done it multiple times.) ELCA can become the first school to win five straight GHSA titles. Lee County and Clinch County entered this season as two-time defending champions but lost in the quarterfinals and semifinals, respectively. Meanwhile, Blessed Trinity's Tim McFarlin can become the 14th coach in GHSA history to win four state title. He won his first at Roswell in 2006. ELCA's Jonathan Gess came become the fifth to win six state titles.
