Sam Rapp shot a 71 to lead Kennesaw Mountain to victory in the Cobb County Championship at the City Club Marietta.
The Mustangs shot a 300 over the two nine-hole rounds of competition and beat Mount Paran by three shots. Walton was third at 308 and Pope was at 309.
Brendan Hughes added a 73, while Marshall Cua and Michael Colcombe each had 78s for Kennesaw Mountain.
Mount Paran was led by medalist Conner Rostowsky shot 68 over the two days and had eight birdies on his scorecard. The sophomore overcame a triple bogey by making birdies on five of his next six holes.
Rapp and Carron Terrell of North Cobb Christian tied for second. Allatoona's Brock Nixon and Hughes shot 73s and tied for fourth.
Newnan to defend title at Greenway Trojan in Carrollton
There are 19 ranked golfers in the Greenway Trojan Invitational, a rare 36-hole, two-day high school event hosted by Carrollton High School at Sunset Hills Country Club. The field is headlined by defending tournament champion Newnan. It also includes St. Pius, which was second in Class AAAA a year ago, and Holy Innocents’, fifth in Class AA in 2015. Preston Wise of Newnan, runner-up in the event last year, is among the favorites.
Trio from First Tee of East Lake sign scholarships
Three golfers from the First Tee of East Lake signed college scholarships last week. Jakari Harris from Woodward Academy will play at Hampton University. Bashir Chuma (North Springs) and Aubrey Graves (Westlake) both signed with Arkansas-Pine Bluff.

Cambridge boys take Adidas Open
Cambridge won the Taylor-Made Adidas Open in Waynesboro. The Longhorns shot 293 and defeated defending Class AAAAA champion Lakeside Evans by one shot and Northgate by two.

Northgate won the LaGrange Invitational with a 307, scoring a six-shot win over Brookstone. Jaden Hall and Ethan Kelly each shot 75s to lead the Vikings.

Dunwoody boys, Columbus girls prevail in LaGrange
The Dunwoody boys and Columbus girls won the top classification at the 25th annual Granger Invitational in LaGrange.
Seventy teams competed over the weekend in five different divisions. Other winners were: Division 2 - Columbus boys, Northgate girls; Division 3 -- Calhoun boys, Coffee girls; Division 4 -- North Gwinnett No. 2 boys, Lumpkin County girls; Division 4 -- North Cobb No. 2 boys, Dunwoody No. 2 girls.
