Last week: Beat Lassiter 38-24. Zac Rozsman, starting for the second consecutive game for injured QB Austin Kirksey, was 8-of-14 passing for 182 yards and three touchdowns. Dominick Blaylock had 149 yards from scrimmage and three touchdowns. Walton built an early 21-0 first-half lead and held on. Next: Friday vs. Etowah (3-4)

3. (3) Parkview (6-0)

Last week: Beat Lakeside-Atlanta 59-0. Malik Washington had 150 all-purpose yards in the first half as Parkview took a 45-0 lead. Next: Friday vs. Berkmar (2-5)

Last week: Beat Shiloh 59-3. Jonathan Halyard rushed for 114 yards on 11 carries. J'Kori Jones was 10-of-15 passing for 150 yards and two touchdowns. Grayson led 35-3 at halftime. Next: Thursday vs. Archer (5-1)

Last week: Beat Newton 40-14. Archer led 23-0 after running only five offensive plays, thanks to a two quick TD drives, a safety and a 78-yard punt return by Andrew Booth. Booth set up the first touchdown by returning the opening kickoff inside Newton territory. Archer's first touchdown came on the first play from scrimmage on a double pass with WR Braylen Weems throwing to Jalyn Phillips. Carter Peevy was 13-of-19 passing for 138 yards. Last week: Beat Mill Creek 50-25. Tyler Goodson rushed for 137 yards and three touchdowns, one a 75-yarder for the first score of the game. Bryson Scruggs returned an interception 45 yards for a touchdown and a 28-14 lead with 1:13 left in the first half. Next: Friday at Collins Hill (2-4)

7. (9) Hillgrove (6-0)

Last week: Beat McEachern 31-21. Hillgrove took a 28-7 lead late in the third quarter and held on. After cutting the lead to 28-21 and 7:23 left, McEachern fumbled a punt at midfield and never threatened again. Hillgrove's Trevor Smith rushed for 109 yards on 19 carries. McEachern led in total yards 356-272. The winner of this game has gone on to win a region title seven of the past eight seasons. Next: Friday at Kennesaw Mountain (4-2)

Last week: Beat Jones County 18-10. Dutchtown held Jones County, which entered with the No. 2 scoring offense in AAAAA, without an offensive touchdown as the Greyhounds scored their lone TD on a fumble return. William Anderson had four sacks, according to the Henry Herald. It was Dutchtown's first victory over a ranked opponent since beating No. 9 Riverdale in 2012, breaking an 11-game losing streak against the top 10. Next: Oct. 19 at Stockbridge (7-0)

Last week: Beat Woodward Academy 38-31. Eastside overcame a 24-7 halftime deficit and took a 38-31 lead on Jeffery Haynes' 68-yard interception return with 1:20 left. Eastside LB Cobly Shivers sacked Woodward on the final play of the game from the Eastside 13-yard line. Taylor Carter rushed for 102 yards and scored on a 55-yard reception in the fourth-quarter comeback. Noah Cook was 18-of-28 passing for 250 yards and three touchdowns. Last week: Lost to Greater Atlanta Christian 23-20. Dawson County scored two touchdowns and recovered an onside kick in the fourth quarter but got no closer than the final margin. Last week: Beat Thomasville 27-11. Omar Blankumsee returned interceptions 64 and 25 yards for touchdowns, the second one to give Brooks a 21-3 lead in the first quarter. Last week: Beat Dodge County 34-10. Dublin rushed for 491 yards and did not attempt a pass in beating previous No. 6 Dodge County for the first time since 2011.
