Class A
Fellowship Christian 28, Whitefield 3
How the game was won: Fellowship Christian steadily pulled away from visiting Whitfield by scoring one touchdown in each of the four quarters. A dominant Paladins defense held Whitefield to nothing more than a 29-yard field goal by William Hellier just prior to halftime. That cut the WolfPack's deficit to 14-3 at the intermission, but Fellowship Christian had no trouble outscoring its opponent 14-0 in the second half.
Top performers: Tyler Matthesen rushed for a touchdown and caught a scoring strike from Jack Hardin to lead the Paladins. Matthesen hauled in a 10-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter before finding the endzone again in the third. Hardin threw two first-half touchdowns, also connecting with Trey Robinson from two yards out. ... Andrew Johnson capped off the scoring with a touchdown run in the fourth quarter.
