How the game was won: Four different runners scored touchdowns for host Fellowship Christian in a season-opening victory against Armuchee. The Paladins led 14-0 after one quarter then pulled away with 20 unanswered points after Armuchee had gotten to within 14-7 early in the second quarter.

Top performers: Senior Jake Williamson kicked two field goals for Fellowship Christian and also tacked on a 41-yard touchdown run in the third quarter. ... Senior fullback Tyler Mattheson ran 16 yards for a touchdown to put the Paladins ahead 14-0 in the second quarter.
