Chamblee picked up a dramatic opening win over Druid Hills on Friday.

Tied 12-12 with 22 seconds to play, Druid Hills’ E.J. Davis intercepted a pass to end a potential go-ahead Chamblee drive. But Chamblee’s Jansen King returned the favor, intercepting a pass and returning it 30 yards for the winning touchdown with six minutes to play.

It was quite the night for King. The junior cornerback also had an 83-yard interception return for a score in the first quarter.

Last season, Chamblee lost a one-possession game to Druid Hills in the season-opener and slumped to a 1-9 campaign.

Chamblee hosts Dunwoody on Friday.
