The Indians ran for three scores in a 21-14 win over Cook that moves them one step closer to the Region 1-AAA Div. A regular-season championship.

Dodge County scored on two runs by Camron Young, a 6-yarder and a 25-yarder with two minutes left that proved to be the game-winner. Kyle Glover also scored on a 3 yard run.

Glover rushed 18 times for 91 yards and Young carried 10 times for 90 yards, as the Indians totalled 207 yards on 40 carries. Cook actually outrushed Dodge by 20 yards.

Southeast clinches Region 1, Division B: In the other subregion, Southeast Bulloch nailed down first place in Div. B for the second straight year with a 28-24 victory over Jenkins. The Yellow Jackets were led by Chase Walker, who ran 34 times for 166 yards and four touchdowns.

Jenkins got 133 yards on 12 carries from Arkeem Byrd and drove in position to score the winning points, but Klayton Carter came up with an interception with less than a minute remaining.

No. 10 Jackson loses quarterback:

The Red Devils may have lost quarterback Shaderious Crowder, who was carried off the field with a leg injury in the first quarter of Jackson’s 34-20 win over Central Macon.

Jackson (6-2) was able to keep the ball on the ground and prosper. Ira Sheppard rushed for 142 yard and three touchdowns and Antavius Grier rushed for 185 yards and one touchdown. The Red Devils ran for 355 yards.

Defensive  back Ny’j Smith intercepted Central’s Derrick Evans for the first time this season and returned the pick 95 yards for a touchdown.

That was the sole mark against Evans, who rushed for 73 yards and threw for 131 yards and one touchdown.

No rust on No. 1 Calhoun: The Yellow Jackets (8-0) returned from an off week with a 70-13 win over Murray County. Calhoun's Olico Dennis rushed seven times for 176 yards and three touchdowns and quarterback Kaelan Riley threw for 200 yards and three touchdowns. Calhoun pulled its starters in the second half.

Big play Callaway: No. 8 Callaway used the big play to swamp Pepperell 35-14. Cedric Maynard scored on runs of 10, 90 and 60 yards. Dre Martin scored on a 77-yard run and caught 20-yard scoring pass for the Cavaliers (7-1).

No. 2 Titans untested: Second-ranked Blessed Trinity (8-0) got little resistance from Washington in a 49-0 win. The Titans were led by Milton Shelton, who ran 12 times for 150 yards and four touchdowns. The B.T. defense allowed only 65 yards and posted their first shutout of the season.
