Two former Georgia high school players are ACC players of the week. The offensive back award went to Georgia Tech QB TaQuon Marshall, who made his first college start and rushed for 249 yards and five touchdowns on 44 carries in a 42-41 loss to Tennessee. Marshall also passed for 120 yards. Meanwhile, Boston College PK Colton Lichtenberg, the specialist of the week, was 3-of-3 on field goals in a 23-20 victory over Northern Illinois. His 37-yarder with 2:13 left was the game-winner. For which high schools did Marshall and Lichtenberg play? (Answer Friday)
Answer to Wednesday's question: The coach with the most wins in Meadowcreek football history is Kevin Maloof, who had a record of 21-22 in five years after starting the program in 1986. Maloof left Meadowcreek in 1990 for Dacula, where he won five region titles before retiring after the 2010 season. Maloof is the brother of current Norcross head coach Keith Maloof.
