Ridgeland's Mark Mariakis and Habersham Central's Michael Pollock have resigned their head-coaching positions, according to several media reports.
Mariakis was 72-51 and won four region titles in 11 seasons at Ridgeland. His team reached the Class AAAA final in 2012. Ridgeland had gone six seasons without a winning season when Mariakis arrived in 2004. Ridgeland was 4-6 this season.
Pollock was 1-19 in two seasons at Habersham Central, which has struggled since moving to the highest classification in 2012, a year before Pollock arrived. Pollock also has been a head coach at Americus-Sumter and Cook.
