Class A Blog:  Darlington jumps to No. 1 in the private power ratings, Irwin County hangs on to top public spot

Darlington overtook Eagle’s Landing Christian Academy and Holy Innocents’ to claim the top spot in the private school power ratings, with one week left in the regular season. The Tigers will all but lock up the No. 1 seed in the private school playoffs with a win over fellow unbeaten Fellowship Christian, in the Region 6 title game, Friday. 

Meanwhile, Irwin County kept its position as the No. 1 team in the public power ratings.

Of its 15 teams, nine (seven private, two public) are currently in the top 24, and therefore would advance to the state playoffs.
