Chattahoochee heads into the final weeks of the regular season undefeated and atop the Class AAAAAA rankings.

The Cougars were one of the biggest surprises last season, coming out of nowhere to rise to the top of the rankings, only to make an early exit in the state tournament. Coach Les Meenan’s team is proving last season was no fluke.

Chattahoochee is 13-0 and can lock up Region 6-AAAAAA title with a win over Habersham Central on Friday. The Cougars have allowed only two goals in region play this season. Habersham Central needs a win at Lambert on Tuesday to stay in the hunt.

Seven Gwinnett teams—Mill Creek, Parkview, Brookwood, Norcross, Duluth and Meadowcreek--sit behind Chattahoochee in the Class AAAAAA ranking.

Brookwood and Parkview will meet Friday in a game that could decide the Region 8-AAAAAA title.
