Sean O’Sullivan, who led North Atlanta to the playoffs for the first time since 1996 last year, is the new football coach at Centennial.

O’Sullivan will replace Shane Sams, who is now the offensive coordinator at Northside in Warner Robins. Centennial finished 0-10 last season after going 7-4 in 2018.

O’Sullivan took the North Atlanta job in 2018. The Warriors’ 7-4 finish in 2019 was the Atlanta city school’s first winning season since 2010. North Atlanta shared Region 7-AAAAAA with Centennial and won their meeting 44-0. The two will not be region rivals in 2020.

O'Sullivan was Pope's defensive coordinator in 2017 and was on the staff of Westminster's team that won a state title in 2015. O’Sullivan also has coached at Mount Vernon Presbyterian and in college at Southeastern Louisiana, Delta State and alma mater Mars Hill.

Centennial is one of three north Fulton County public schools to need a new head coach this off-season.

Alpharetta has hired Hoover (Ala.) offensive coordinator Jason Kervin.

Roswell, which lost Matt Kemper to Etowah of Cherokee County, is still looking.
