Olivia Nelson-Ododa of Winder-Barrow and Ashton Hagans of Newton are the Atlanta Tipoff Club’s Georgia high school basketball players of year, the club announced Wednesday morning.
Nelson-Ododa is a 6-foot-5 forward who has signed with UConn. She averaged 19 points, 16 rebounds and six blocked shots.
Hagans is a 6-4 point guard who is a junior and is uncommitted. He averaged 20 points, 11 assists, eight rebounds and four steals a game for Newton, which advanced to the Class AAAAAAA semifinals.
