Georgia Tech’s second day in Dublin includes a movie in the morning, a bus tour of Dublin and then the standard pre-game lockdown. Meetings for different units on the team, video review and a team dinner.

Thursday night, at the end of their first day in Ireland, the Yellow Jackets had a dinner that, by judge of at least one video posted on the team’s Twitter account, defensive tackle Pat Gamble quite enjoyed.

Friday afternoon, there is a pep rally scheduled at Trinity College that will be led by Tech’s marching band, cheerleaders and Buzz. Speaking of which, sort of, drifting from a nearby bar up to my room at the Morgan Hotel last night, I heard a familiar call-and-response:

“YELLOW!!!” … “JACKETS!!!”

It was followed, naturally, with a spirited query on what the good word was. It’s apparently the same in Dublin as it is on North Avenue.
