As Georgia Tech men's basketball coach Josh Pastner rolls through scouting reports on each scholarship player on this team, one thing continues to pop up: points.

The team has to be smart in its shot selection because there isn't a go-to scorer.

The second thing is the players need to give total effort in everything from rebounding, to avoiding turnovers, to taking good shots.

The margin of error for earning wins will be very small.

Over the next few days, I’ll post player-by-player scouting reports on the team as it prepares for its exhibition opener against Shorter on Nov. 5 at McCamish Pavilion.

The Yellow Jackets went 21-15 overall, 8-10 in the ACC under previous coach Brian Gregory.

I thought he was good early but didn't play really well late in the summer. He's been better as of late. He's got to improve his shooting, definitely has to get better at shooting, but he's got very good speed. Him understanding about pace is a big thing. That's important for us. He's a good pace guard.
