As Georgia Tech men's basketball coach Josh Pastner rolls through scouting reports on each scholarship player on this team, one thing continues to pop up: points.
The team has to be smart in its shot selection because there isn't a go-to scorer.
The second thing is the players need to give total effort in everything from rebounding, to avoiding turnovers, to taking good shots.
The margin of error for earning wins will be very small.
Over the next few days, I’ll post player-by-player scouting reports on the team as it prepares for its exhibition opener against Shorter on Nov. 5 at McCamish Pavilion.
The Yellow Jackets went 21-15 overall, 8-10 in the ACC under previous coach Brian Gregory.

Coach Josh Pastner's take: He's got to be an every-time rebounder; that's going to be a big thing for him. Being able to be a great rebounder is an area that he's going to be able to help us in. He's got to be more consistent from his 3 being able to make shots. He's got to be a better defender, has to be a better defender. He's got to remember our plays that we are putting in, have carryover.
