Without getting into specifics, Georgia Tech coach Paul Johnson sounded hopeful about his team’s injury situation as it prepares to play Virginia Saturday in Charlottesville, Va.

The Jackets’ season-long injury bug continued before and during the win Saturday over Florida State. Cornerback D.J. White and B-back Patrick Skov, who were listed as questionable on the injury report, were held out of the game with undisclosed injuries. During the game, safeties Demond Smith and A.J. Gray, cornerback Step Durham and wide receiver Micheal Summers were all taken out of the game with undisclosed injuries.

Johnson said regarding the wide receiver rotation that “hopefully we’ll have all three this week. We’ll see.” The three he referred to are Ricky Jeune, Brad Stewart and Summers.

He said also that “I think the secondary should be fairly healthy this week. I think we should get most everybody back.”

Tech will have its open date following the Virginia game.
