In his debut, Georgia Tech broadcasting voice Andy Demetra had no need to manufacture enthusiasm. The newcomer from South Carolina was delivered a nailbiter to call. Demetra, hired in August to replace Brandon Gaudin, gave a concise but descriptive call of B-back Dedrick Mills’ game-winning touchdown in the Yellow Jackets’ 17-14 win over Boston College Saturday.

Demetra’s call:

“Mills at the B-back. Lynch, A-back right, Green, A-back left. …Thomas, toss sweep … Mills busting it outside, lowers his shoulder, across the goal line! Touchdown, Georgia Tech! And the freshman comes through! And in the nick of time, Georgia Tech takes the 16-14 lead!”
