Zac Efron, Robert DeNiro strut shirtless in Atlanta-filmed "Dirty Grandpa"

Zac Efron and Robert DeNiro pair up and strip down in "Dirty Grandpa," coming out in January.

The movie, which filmed in metro Atlanta and on Tybee Island, stars Zac as a dutiful, straight-laced grandson delivering his rowdy gramps to a retirement home in Florida.

Grandpa, played by DeNiro, is moving past the death of his wife with stunning alacrity. The day after his wife's funeral, he pitches a side trip to Daytona.

Hijinks involving girls in bikinis and Zac in not very much ensue.

More recently, Zac has been back in Atlanta filming "Neighbors 2," with Seth Rogen, Chloe Grace Moretz and Selena Gomez.

My colleague Greg Bluestein happened upon the project filming in his neighborhood recently and got this photo of Zac sprinting down the street.

Meanwhile, Tybee Island is one of the locations for the new movie "Gifted," filming now. The project stars Chris Evans as Frank Adler, a single man raising a child prodigy, his spirited young niece Mary (played byMckenna Grace) in a coastal town in Florida. Frank’s plans for a normal school life for Mary are foiled when the 7-year-old’s mathematical abilities come to the attention of Frank’s formidable mother Evelyn (Lindsay Duncan) whose plans for her granddaughter threaten to separate Frank and Mary. Octavia Spencer plays Roberta, Frank and Mary’s landlady and best friend.

Here are some photos from that set.
