As it currently stands, the Hawks have a roster of 15 players under contract (or soon to be) with about $4 million in salary cap space. There are likely to be changes this summer and before the season starts but here is what things look like now.

The NBA announced a salary cap for the 2016-17 season at $94,143,000. The Hawks have approximately $90,850,493 with some estimated salaries and rookie cap holds. I used the estimated numbers for Dwight Howard, Kent Bazemore and Malcolm Delaney from by good friends at Basketball Insiders. The site has Delaney’s contract as two years, $1.5 million with a third-year qualifying offer.

I’ll round up the salary cap difference to $4 million. Here’s what it looks like:

Dwight Howard: $22,500,000*

Paul Millsap: $20,072,033

Kent Bazemore: $15,700,000*

Tiago Splitter: $8,550,000

Kyle Korver: $5,239,437

Thabo Sefolosha: $3,850,000

Mike Scott: $3,333,334

Dennis Schroder: $2,708,582

Tim Hardaway Jr.: $2,281,605

Mike Muscala: $1,015,696

Edy Tavares: $1,000,000

Lamar Patterson: $874,636

Malcolm Delaney: $543,471*

Taurean Prince: $1,931,900**

DeAndre’ Bembry: $1,249,800**

Total: $90,850,493

** - Cap hold for draft slot

I will provide updates when I can. Happy Fourth of July everyone. Have fun and be safe.
