The top cornerbacks and safeties finished up the workouts at the scouting combine on Monday.

Michigan State's Trae Waynes and Alabama's Landon Collins confirmed that they are the top cornerback and safety in the draft. Waynes ran the 40-yard dash in 4.32 seasons. Collins, who was compared to Falcons safety William Moore, ran the 40-yard dash in 4.53 seconds.

Several players with Georgia ties had strong combines. Here's a look at how some of the local players performed:

--Georgia wide receiver Chris Conley, who had a decent career for the Bulldogs, ran the 40-yard dash in 4.35 seconds, which was tied for third best among receivers. He had a 45-inch vertical, which was three inches better than any other receiver. His broad jump on 11-feet, 7-inches was better than the rest of the receivers by seven inches. Both the vertical jump and the broad jump were combine records for a wide receiver. He also did 18 reps of the 225-pound bench press, which was fourth among wide receivers.

--Georgia Tech wide receiver Darren Waller caught 51 passes for 971 yards and nine touchdowns in three seasons at Tech. He played mostly on special teams as a freshman. Waller ran an unofficial 4.46 in the 40-yard dash, lifted 225 pounds 12 times, had a 37-inch vertical and 10-foot, 5-inch broad jump at the scouting combine.

--Clemson defensive end/linebacker Vic Beasley, of Adairsville, who is the school's career sack leader with 31, ran the 40 in 4.53 seconds and had 35 lifts in the 225-pound bench press, best among all linebackers at the NFL combine. The NFL has posted combine results on its website since 2006 and Beasley is the first linebacker to post the top 40 time and the top bench press performance in the same year over that 10-year period. Beasley also posted a time of 6.91 in the three-cone run and a 41.5 in the 20-yard shuttle, also best times among all the linebackers. His 41-inch vertical jump was third and his 10-foot, 8-inch broad jump was third among the players at his position.

--Georgia cornerback Damian Swann ran the 40-yard dash in 4.5 seconds, which was tied for the 11th fastest time of the cornerbacks. He had a 33-inch vertical and 118 inch broad jump.

--Oregon State cornerback Steven Nelson (Northside-Warner Robbins) ran the 40-yard dash in 4.49 seconds, which tied for the 10th fastest time.

--William & Mary wide receiver Tre McBride (Ola) ran the 40-yard dash in 4.41 seconds, which was the sixth fastest time of the wide receivers. He was also a top performer in the three-cone drill and the broad jump.

--West Virginia wide receiver Mario Alford (Greenville) ran the 40-yard dash in 4.43 seconds which was the 11th fastest time of the group. He was also a top performer in the 60-yard shuttle and the three-cone drill.

--South Carolina running back Mike Davis (Stephenson) ran the 40-yard dash in 4.61 seconds, which was 14th fastest of the group. He was also a top performer in the 20-yard shuttle.

--Auburn quarterback/defensive back Nick Marshall (Wilcox County) ran the 40-yard dash in 4.54 seconds, which was second fastest of the quarterbacks. He also was a top performer in the vertical jump and the bench press.

--Alabama quarterback Blake Sims (Gainesville) ran the 40-yard dash in 4.57 seconds, which was the third fastest of the group. He was also a top performer in the vertical and broad jump.

--Auburn defensive tackle Gabe Wright (Carver-Columbus) lifted 225 pounds 34 times, which was tied for second amongst the defensive linemen. He also was a top performer in the 40-yard dash.

--Chattanooga defensive end Derrick Lott (North Cobb) lifted 225 pounds 30 times, which was tied for seventh amongst the defensive linemen. He was also a top performer in the 40-yard dash.

--Georgia linebacker Amarlo Herrera lifted 225 pounds, 23 times which was tied for 13th amongst the linebacker group. He was also a top performer in the 20-yard shuttle.

--Louisville defensive end Lorenzo Mauldin (Jackson) lifted 225 pounds, 23 times which was tied for 13th amongst the linebacker group. He was also a top performer in the broad jump.

--Florida State offensive tackle Cameron Erving (Colquitt County) ran the 40-yard dash in 5.15 seconds, which was the 10th fastest of the offensive linemen group. He was also a top performer in the 20-yard shuttle.

--Stanford defensive end Henry Anderson (Woodward Academy) completed the three-cone drill in 7.20 seconds, which was the fifth best time of the defensive linemen. He also was a top performer in the broad jump.

--Mississippi State defensive end Preston Smith (Stephenson) completed in 7:07 seconds which was the fastest time of the defensive linemen. He was also a top performer in the 20-yard and 60-yard shuttles.

--Harvard defensive end/linebacker Zach Hodge (Tri-Cities) had a broad jump of 10-foot, 5 inches, which was tied for the fourth best jump of the linebackers. He was also a top performer in the 20-yard shuttle.

--Kentucky defensive end/linebacker Alvin "Bud" Dupree (Wilkinson County) had a broad jump of 11-foot, 6 inches, which was top amongst the linebacker. He was also a top performer in the 40-yard dash.
