FLOWERY BRANCH -- Falcons defensive end Vic Beasley, who's recovering from a hamstring strain/tear injury, is slated to start running with the trainers off to the side at practice, Falcons coach Dan Quinn said Wednesday.
Beasley was injured in the victory over the Green Bay Packers on Sept. 17. He did not play against the Detroit Lions on Sunday. Running back Terron Ward (neck/shoulder) will return to running today.
Also, free safety Ricardo Allen and right tackle Ryan Schraeder remain in the NFL's concussion protocol program. Defensive tackle Courtney Upshaw (ankle) is not likely to return from injury for Sunday's game against the Buffalo Bills.
