FLOWERY BRANCH – The NFL draft is set for Thursday through Saturday and each morning for the past 10 days we've taken a look at a player on the Falcons' draft board.

Today we’ll look at Oklahoma tight end Blake Bell, who’s projected to be a fifth round pick by NFLDraftScout.com.

Oklahoma tight end Blake Bell (10) grabs a pass in the second quarter of an NCAA college football game against Oklahoma State in Norman, Okla. Improving the chances of being a pro football player was motivation enough to switch from throwing passes to catching them. Oklahoma's Blake Bell switched from quarterback to tight end as a senior. 5 questions with Blake Bell

Q: How comfortable are you after being converted from the quarterback position?

A: I made the switch completely and I felt like I was getting better each and every game as the year went on and even in the East West Shrine game I felt like I was making big strides, so I'm fully a tight end and there's no more quarterback anymore.

Q: What are the things you need to improve on?

A: I think I just need to work on technique. Like I said, I felt like I was getting a lot better towards the end, just watching film and working on technique …You can always work on pad level and hand placement.

Q: How’s your blocking ability?

A: Anytime you can get down and block people in the run game, whether it's power or outside zone, and then you can split out and have a linebacker on you. That's something that's pretty dangerous.

Q: How has it help coming from an NFL family? (His father Mark Bell, played six years as DE for Colts and Seahawks, Uncle Mike Bell played 12 seasons as DE for Chiefs)

A: It helps a lot, just with my dad and uncle telling me different things to work on or taking me through their process when they were going through this and stuff like that.

Q: Who’s personality do you have, your dad or uncle?

A: I would say my dad. Yeah, two completely different personalities, but both give great advice.
