The Federal Aviation Administration is hiring air traffic controllers.

The median annual pay for air traffic control specialists was $127,805 in 2016, with salaries varying depending on location, complexity of the airspace and other factors.

The FAA is opening the hiring window for air traffic controller positions Jan. 24 until Jan. 27.

Applicants must be U.S. citizens, speak English clearly and be no older than 30, with a combination of three years of higher education and/or work experience.

Also required are air traffic pre-employment tests, a medical exam, a security investigation and training in Oklahoma City.
