Delta Air Lines, which has grown a hub in Los Angeles, is launching a partnership with the Los Angeles Lakers allowing ticket holders to trade in certain game seats for plane seats.
Atlanta-based Delta announced the "Showtime Seat Exchange" as part of an extension of its sponsorship of the Lakers as the team's official airline partner.
For Lakers games on Nov. 15, Dec. 22, Jan. 31 and March 15, ticket holders can donate two or four of their tickets to an LA-area non-profit, and in exchange Delta will give the ticket holder a flight voucher for a domestic round-trip flight.
The airline said donation seats are limited -- 50 tickets can be exchanged per game.
The charities that will get the tickets for the four games are After-School All-Stars, Los Angeles; Bob Hope USO; Junior Achievement of Southern California; and KIPP LA Public Schools.
Delta operates more than 170 departures on peak days from its hub at Los Angeles International Airport.
