Three companies have thrown their hats into the ring to compete for a commercial real estate consulting contract with Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.

The world's busiest airport is looking for a real estate consultant to determine how to develop about 500 acres it owns around Hartsfield-Jackson and roughly 10,000 acres it owns in Dawson County.

On Wednesday, three companies submitted proposals for the work: Haddow & Company, The Collaborative Firm LLC, and Jones Lang LaSalle.

It's the airport's second try at searching for a real estate consulting firm, after canceling a first effort. In the first round, Canadian commercial real estate company Avison Young submitted a proposal and Atlanta-based Haddow & Company did not.
