Temperatures are expected to make a 30-degree climb Tuesday, from a chilly start to what should be another nice afternoon.
Metro Atlanta is beginning the day in the 40s, but there are plenty of 30s outside the Perimeter, according to Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Brian Monahan. Like on Monday, a sunny and mostly clear sky will help the city to warm up quickly, topping out at a projected high of 70 degrees.
“If you liked that sunshine yesterday, we’re going to keep that going for you today,” Monahan said. “Plenty of sun in the Tuesday forecast, also on Wednesday, and that next chance of rain is going to roll in on Thursday. Out ahead of it though, we’ve got a nice couple of days in the forecast.”
Monahan said there will be a few more clouds in the sky Tuesday, which won’t be as bright and sunny as the day before. Still, he said, temperatures in the 70s are pretty nice in mid-November.
“Beautiful weather for outdoor activities, outdoor practice, maybe playing outside when the kids come home from school today,” he said.
With the mainly clear sky and dry air overnight, Wednesday will be another chilly morning with lows in the upper 30s and 40s, according to Monahan. Wednesday should also see “another basically sunny afternoon” as temperatures rise into the low 70s, he said.
The cold front arriving Thursday is expected to trigger a few showers, but rain chances remain low at 30%.
