Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Ebonie Deon says temperatures will climb into the low 90s Sunday.

Sunday will mark the beginning of blistering conditions that metro Atlanta will see this week.

Temperatures will rise into the 90s each of the next four days, according to Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Eboni Deon.

She expects Atlantans to wake up to morning temps in the 70s and the conditions will continue to heat up throughout the day.

“We’re going to start off our Sunday morning nice and warm. And then it’s going to get downright hot as we head through the day,” Deon said.

The mid-afternoon high will be 92 degrees and the humidity will start climbing until it peaks on Tuesday, Deon forecasted. As the humidity climbs, so will the heat index.

Deon said it will feel like 101 degrees in Atlanta on Monday, a day expected to see high temperatures of 93.

“The humidity, it’s going to stick around because we’re going to see more moisture,” she said Saturday evening. “Hotter, more humid conditions as we get into next week.”

The chances of rain will be slim until Tuesday, when the probability for showers increases to 40%, Deon said.
