A 19-year-old woman died Sunday afternoon after a crash on I-575 in Woodstock, authorities said.

Jasmine Jovanna Beasley was driving southbound when she lost control and crashed around 12:30 p.m., Woodstock police spokeswoman Brittany Page said. Beasley was not wearing a seat belt and died on scene, Page said. No other vehicles were involved.

Woodstock police were at the site until around 3:40 p.m. investigating the wreck. The incident remains under investigation as of Monday afternoon. The southbound lanes were blocked for nearly two hours.

A family friend set up a GoFundMe campaign to help with funeral expenses. The teen is a survivor of kidney cancer and graduated from high school in 2020, according to the page.

“She had a love of God, family, children, and motorcycles along with several other hobbies,” the friend wrote.

Beasley is survived by her parents, sister, uncles and cousins.
