If you’re looking for a job in metro Atlanta this November, you’ll find several companies adding employees to their ranks. Some are seasonal jobs that can not only provide a boost to your holiday budget but also hold the possibility of turning into full-time employment.

The following Atlanta companies are making big hires this November:

UPS

UPS always needs additional help during the holidays, and this year is no exception. The package delivery company is hosting a virtual hiring event from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 4 and Friday, Nov. 5 to fill jobs at its facility at 1100 Fulton Industrial Blvd. NW, Atlanta. The jobs are seasonal, but in the hiring event posting, UPS says that around 35 percent of these hires end up becoming permanent additions to the company.

Job openings being filled at the event are Package Delivery Drivers ($21 an hour), Warehouse Workers ($17.50 an hour), Personal Vehicle Drivers ($21-plus an hour) and Driver Helpers ($17 an hour). Fill out an online application first, and RSVP for the event.

Radial

Logistics company Radial is hiring up to 4,000 people to help handle holiday packages at its Locust Grove fulfillment center. Jobs include benefits as well as competitive hourly wages including overtime.

Kroger

Kroger’s Atlanta division is adding employees at its stores throughout the area this November as customers ramp up their holiday food shopping. You’ll not only find jobs opportunities for customer engagement specialists and retail clerks, but also other positions including pharmacy techs and maintenance technicians.

Gwinnett County Department of Corrections

Gwinnett County Department of Corrections is hosting a hiring event from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 13 at the department, 750 Hi Hope Road, Lawrenceville. You’ll need to have an appointment to attend, and the event will allow you to complete the first phase of a two-phase hiring process. Conditional job offers may be given.

Positions pay $34,945-$40,881 annually and offer a $2,000 hiring bonus. Among other qualifications, you’ll need to be able to successfully pass a five-week training course and be able to work any shift as well as weekends and holidays.
