Eat, drink and play at The Works’ newest experience, Your 3rd Spot

The newest technology-driven dining and gaming concept, Your 3rd Spot, has officially opened its first location in The Works.
The restaurant, bar, beer garden and social club are laid out in a beautifully decorated 26,000-square-foot space. Before we dive deeper into that, we’ve got to talk about the name. Based off the concept of a “third place” after home and work, Your 3rd Spot gives you somewhere “to eat, drink and play, to gather with friends and make new ones, and have that home away from home experience.”
“We’ve found that people just don’t know how to meet each other and often are forced to go on dating apps when they really just want to meet people for friendship or networking,” said Josh Rossmeisl, founder and chief vision officer of Your 3rd Spot, in a press release. “Your 3rd Spot is basically a brick-and-mortar friend meetup spot that helps introduce guests to other people and connect over food, conversation and games.”
There is a collection of 70+ social games, upscale small plate dining, and craft beverages — all in the most Instagram-friendly, aesthetically pleasing, comfortable and sociable environment possible. Guests can enjoy the retro-modern arcade stocked with classic and modern video games, an indoor cornhole arena featuring 10 cornhole boards, and a 4,000-square-foot patio for more outdoor-oriented activities, accessed by large garage-style doors.
One of the coolest parts of Your 3rd Spot is its Match and Connect feature on the “Your 3rd Spot” app. Basically, it shows users, other guests in the building they may get along with based on their game preferences and personalities.
One of the many attractions you’ll see is a bright yellow slide. The feature is in dedication to the memory of the late Atlanta developer Scott Selig, a passionate supporter of The Ron Clark Academy, a highly acclaimed, nonprofit middle school located in Southeast Atlanta. The academy has received both national and international recognition for its success in creating a loving, dynamic learning environment that promotes academic excellence and fosters leadership. Selig was also the driving force behind the development of “The Works.” Unfortunately, the developer passed away from cancer in 2017 before he could see his dream for The Works realized. The slide also has a dedication plaque with a QR code that allows visitors to donate to a scholarship in Selig’s name at the academy.
I can’t wait to go back to Your 3rd Spot with all of my family and friends!
