An Irish firm that operates call centers and provides technical support for a number of high-profile tech firms plans to open a new facility in Athens in a move that will create 500 jobs over the next four years.
Cork, Ireland-based Voxpro said it will establish a “Center of Excellence” as part of a U.S. expansion valued at $4 million, according to a news release from Gov. Nathan Deal’s office.

Voxpro said in the release it provides customer experience and technical support in multiple languages, as well as “product insight” and social media services. The company has 1,700 employees in the U.S. and Ireland, and counts Google and Airbnb among its roster of well-known clients.
Our success is built on delivering beautiful customer experiences and it’s our people and our culture that provide that point of difference,” Voxpro co-founder and CEO Dan Kiely said in the release. “We know we’ve found those people in Athens.”
A location in Athens was not immediately known. The full value of any incentive package also was not immediately known, but the company is eligible for tax credits for new jobs created.
More details to come as they are made available.
