An Oregon company has purchased The Network Inc., a 33-year-old Atlanta-based firm that provides software for shaping corporate conduct.

NAVEX Global, Inc. of Portland announced the deal but did not release financial terms of the acquisition.

In a statement, the companies said the combination will create “the leading industry provider” of software for ethics and compliance. Company clients include “12,500 organizations worldwide and 94 of the Fortune 100,” officials said.

Headquarters of the combined company will be in Portland, but the companies did not say whether they will maintain offices and employees in Atlanta.

Luis Ramos, who has been chief executive of The Network, will become chief operating officer of NAVEX Global, officials said.
