While receiver Cam Sims returned to the practice field on Wednesday after tearing his ACL and MCL, another receiver is learned to have succumbed to an MCL injury.
Robert Foster suffered the injury during Alabama's Saturday scrimmage.
But wait. There’s good news for Alabama fans. Apparently, the injury is so mild the media didn’t pick up on it until Wednesday. From Al.com’s Matt Zenitz:
The redshirt sophomore, who was injured late in the scrimmage, has not missed any practice time while working through the injury.
It’s the preseason. Everything has to be reported, and good job to Zenitz for this nugget. Months down the road, in the middle of the 2015 season, if — and when — Foster suffers a knee injury, we can all look at this post and ask, “Should he have been on the field?”
